Research
Adopting a custom approach inspired by design thinking, our team engaged in deep collaboration with stakeholders across the board — from business executives to end-users. This holistic research phase was crucial in retaining essential existing functionalities while also identifying opportunities to evolve the app into a significant commercial asset through subscriptions and in-app services. Insights gathered from users, business analysis, and competitor study informed the development of a platform that truly resonates with Joby's audience.

UX Design
The UX design of Joby One was a meticulous process, beginning with a blank slate and guided solely by Joby's refreshed brand guidelines. Our challenge was to embody Joby's playful brand spirit while addressing rigorous technical requirements. Joby One introduced innovative interactions to enhance the content creation process. Users can effortlessly connect to and control motion devices with customizable settings, adjust lighting with a tap, and refine audio through intuitive controls. The app also boasts robust content capture capabilities, including advanced photo and video modes, and a comprehensive gallery with editing tools. These interactions were designed to be straightforward yet powerful, enabling content creators to focus on their creativity without technical hindrances.
